We had so much fun this year for Halloween and the weather was gorgeous!! The kids were super crazy in the days leading up to trick or treating but on the actual night they were amazing. So much better than last year where they ran all over the place and refused to stay in a group. This was Ainsley's first year really trick or treating and she loved it! We had 2 costumes for her and started her as Glinda to go along with Lincoln's costume but then she saw her monkey costume and wanted to put that on so she trick or treated with that. She was very into the candy and just wanted to eat everything out of her bowl. She also loved pointing out all of the halloween decorations and our neighborhood really did it up this year with some fun stuff.
The best parts of the night were Wyatt and Rush's jokes that they totally made up and didn't really make sense at all so everyone was cracking up at them. Wyatt's was "Why did the pumpkin have legs? Because it had arms!" totally makes sense right lol. Rush's was "Why did the chicken cross the road? Because he wanted to get to Kansas!" lol.
Lincoln also had a blast trick or treating and loved being his little witch which he had his heart set on ever since Jan brought over the little witch hat for the kids to play with. He was a little scared of some of the decorations and costumes so we had to remind him they were only decorations but he loved getting all the candy and carrying around his little broom :).
