On Friday I took Ainsley and Lincoln to the apple orchard to pick some apples. We'd been there before with the boys when Lincoln was little but had never actually picked apples on our own. They had a blast and this place is so cool because there are tons of other fun things you can partake besides the apple picking. I didn't get very many pictures since it was just me but Lincoln loved the giant bouncy pillow that you can jump on and i pretty much had to drag him out of the big corn pile or he would have stayed there all day :). It was a quick trip because i wanted to get them home in time for naps but of course they both vetoed the nap option and decided to poop in their beds instead :(.
We also headed to the Cyclone game on Saturday. I was a little nervous about taking all of them because i knew it would take a lot of energy but they actually did really well and we had fun even though we weren't there a super long time. This was Ainsley and Lincoln's first time at a game and I haven't even been to one in a few years so it was fun to get back and enjoy that atmosphere again although it did make me feel pretty old being around all those college kids. Our tailgating days sure have changed!!
We only made it through the first quarter but we got to see a lot of good plays. The first quarter was over an hour long and honestly we probably could have stayed a little longer except that Lincoln kept saying he was super tired and was getting a little crazy and Ryan was hoping to make it home in time to watch the second half on tv. Overall we had a great time even though the cyclones lost by 3 :( and hopefully we can make it to another game with the family again next year.
