Ainsley - 7 Months

I know I say this every month but seriously how is this girlie seven months old already!! And she is definitely no longer a baby L.  She is rolling and army crawling everywhere and already pushing her butt up in the air so I’m sure real crawling is not far off.  Nothing is safe anymore and I’m so not ready for it!

She’s doing better with sitting on her own and doesn’t really mind when she does fall over since she can pretty much get anything she wants now by rolling and crawling around.  She’s very interested in toys and pretty much everything goes into her mouth.  She loves the bath and really likes to splash around.  We took her to the Y last weekend for her first time swimming and she loved it.  It will be fun to see what she’s like this summer.

She’s tried pretty much all of the first foods but isn’t super into eating right now.  So far her favorites have been green beans, pears and apples.  She was not a fan of the cereal, peas or bananas.  The boys always just gobbled everything down so it will be interesting to see if she’s going to be a picky eater or will just take a bit longer to get into the eating thing.  She is super messy though when she does eat and gets her baby food everywhere!

We’ve made huge strides in the sleeping department hallelujah!  We started sleep training right before Christmas because she basically was waking up every 20 minutes and I was pretty much dying from sleep deprivation.  We started with night training and we basically did cold turkey from the swaddle in her chair in our room to her bed with a blanket no swaddle.  She actually did pretty good and overall surprised me quite a bit with how quickly it took on.  She still fusses a little bit at night before putting herself to sleep and still gets up to eat twice which we’ll be working on next but overall sleeps all night in her bed which is amazing compared to everything we had to go through with Lincoln.  Now that we have her sleeping better next on the list is to start transitioning him to a big boy bed.  I’m just praying that goes well too.  If i could keep him in his crib forever I would lol.

She's not saying any words yet but blows raspberries all the time and her new thing now is lots of little shrieks.  It's the cutest sound and a lot of times she'll wake up in the morning and just lay in her bed making little noises and shrieks.  Usually while she's pooping her pants.  No teeth yet but still lots of drool and chewing.

Overall she is still such a sweet and happy baby!  She has blessed our lives beyond belief and we all love her so much.
