Ainsley - 6 months

I cannot believe this little girl is 6 months old already!  She is growing like a weed and has changed so much from that first month photo.  She continues to be our happy, laid back little girl.  She is very interested in everything around her.  She is rolling all over the place and usually doesn’t stay on her back for long and immediately will roll onto her stomach and then pivot around reaching for anything in site to play with.  Although she prefers now to sit vs. lay on the ground I think because she can more easily see all that is going on around her and is able to sit for a few minutes on her own without falling.

No teeth yet but she is drooling like crazy so I’m wondering if one is going to pop through soon and she hasn’t said any two syllable words yet but is making all sorts of sounds and shrieks and loves blowing raspberries.  All that drool really helps in that department.  She loves playing with toys and puts everything in her mouth that she can get her hands on.  She’s tried a little bit of cereal and squash.  So far she hasn’t loved either but also hasn’t completely rejected the food but is still just getting used to the idea of eating.

Ainsley loves her brothers and gets the biggest smile on her face anything they are around.  They can make her laugh more than anyone else and she just can’t wait to get in on the action.  She’s also become much more interested in the dog and likes to try and grab her hair anytime she’s within reach.   The poor girl has been dealing with an awful cold this month so unfortunately we have no progress in the sleep department since we’ve basically just done anything to get her to sleep while battling the cold.  We think/are hoping she’s at the tail end now and can start working more on sleep training and getting her sleeping in her crib and without her swaddle and praying our family can go at least a month without any more sickness/colds!

We had her check up on Tuesday and she was 17 pounds and 26.8 inches.  Right on track and growing like crazy!
