Can't believe Gavin is 3!!! We had so much fun celebrating this weekend and like Christmas this is really the first year that he truely understood what a birthday meant and was so excited about his special day. It started off with a party at school with his friends celebrating with his favorite treat ice cream sandwiches and then we picked up the boys and headed to the T-Rex cafe for dinner. Gavin and Wyatt both had a great time although Gavin was a little cautious anytime the dinosaurs started moving.
Then we celebrated with cake and presents at home.
Family came down on Sunday and we celebrated with a dino party.
This kid loves balloons and apparently so does Wyatt :)
After lunch, cake and presents we headed to Chuck e Cheese for the first time. Gavin had so much fun. His favorites were the horse and jurassic park game. Looks like we'll have to make another trip there soon.
Some of Gavin's Favorites now that he is 3:
Books - big book of dinosaurs, dinosaur parade, going on a lion hunt, pretenting to ready mommy and daddy's books
Movies – Land before Time, Ice Age Dawn of Dinosaurs, Tangled, Cars, Lion King
Toys – His millions of dinosaurs, legos (loves building giant towers), puzzles
Shows – Dinosaur Train, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Super Why
Food – all kinds of pasta, apples (will eat the entire thing if you let him), celery, ice cream sandwiches, cheez-it’s
Games – loves playing dinosaurs which usually involves him being the t-rex chasing either us or the dog, acting out scenes in his movies or books and pretending his bed is a train. Loves to make up new games and pretend and loves to sign and make up new songs.
He is doing such a great job going potty and has just started going pee in the big potty!!
What a fun weekend! Now on to number 2 :)
