Ainsley - 11 months

Somehow I blinked an eye and this sweet girl turned 11 months.  I am in complete denial that she will already be one in less than a month L. 

This little girl is on the move and into everything.  She’s standing for longer amounts of time on her own and has been walking all over the place with her walker or pushing chairs.  Also, no cupboard or drawer is safe in her presence. 

Ainsley is such a little sweetheart and has really taken a love to her stuffed animals and dolls this past month.  Anytime she sees one in a room she immediately wants it so she can snuggle it and give it hugs.  It is the cutest thing ever.  She also loves giving real hugs and kisses as well and loves animals especially dogs.  Anytime she sees someone with a dog she just starts shrieking and pointing saying duh, duh trying to say dog.

She loves water and has had fun exploring the outdoors now that we finally have spring weather.  I think she’s going to love the pool this summer.  She’s eating mostly table foods now and still has no teeth.  I keep thinking that she’ll pop one through any day now but no luck yet. 

We love this little girl to pieces.  Now on to planning her big party!

Spring is here!

We are loving this spring weather lately and are outside every chance we can get.

Ainsley - 10 months

Ainsley is 10 months old and has such a little personality now J.  She has figured out how to throw a fit and fake cry if she can’t have what she wants and makes the funniest expressions.  She is also a little sweetheart and gives lots of hugs and wet slobbery kisses where she grabs your face and makes sure she kisses you on the lips.  Anytime her brothers are upset she always crawls over to them and gives them a hug/kiss which is just adorable and cheers them right up.

She is definitely on the move and pulls up and cruises around everything.  She’s also starting to get a little braver and has stood on her own for a few seconds before realizing she’s not holding onto anything.  She loves the stairs and can crawl up one or two but then tries to turn around and fall so we typically grab her quick when she gets to them which she has figured out so now she has a little game where she’ll crawl over there and then look at you like are you going to come get me, look what I’m doing stinker face.

We’ve come a long way with food over the past month.  She went from hating all foods with texture to now being more adventurous.  I’ve found that the trick is to just let her feed herself and she’s way more willing to try new things.  So far she really loves oranges and has tried some veggies, beans, noodles and banana. She also loves MumMum crackers and is eating the chunkier baby food but wants nothing to do with those puffs that most babies love.  She also loves drinking water out of her sippy cup and always tries to steal her brothers if they leave them lying around.

Ainsley loves being outside in the stroller or swing.  I’m looking forward to finally getting some warm spring weather so she can explore the outdoors a little more.  Still no teeth and still not saying mama but lots and lots of babbling and she loves to blow raspberries.  She does it all the time and even crawls up and blows them on you which her brothers think is hilarious.  She's also recently figured out how to click her tongue and loves dancing and swaying to music.

Lincoln - 2 and 1/2

Thought I would post an update on Lincoln since it’s been awhile!  Minus the typical two year old tantrums he is at such a fun age right now and I wish he could just stay this age forever J.  This kid definitely keeps us on our toes and is the perfect mixture of sweet and spunky.  Out of nowhere he will just say I love you mom or you’re so pretty mom and give hugs and kisses and has the sweetest smile ever.  But on the other hand also needs lots of reminders on no hitting, playing nice and no throwing toys.  I think it’s tough when you are trying to keep up with two older brothers and don’t know your limits and are also more aggressive in nature.

He loves being outdoors swinging, riding his bike, going on walks, looking for bugs, chasing his brothers.  Anytime I’m running errands he’s always my little helper.  I think he’s figured out if he comes he’ll get a cookie J but I love getting to spend that one on one time with him.

He is sleeping in a big boy bed now and he did amazing with the transition.  I was so nervous and probably would have waited longer if we didn’t need to get rid of his crib but he made it so easy and we really haven’t had any issues.  Nothing like Wyatt who was a bit of a nightmare.  It takes him awhile to settle at night before falling asleep but he always just lays around and never gets out of bed.  His new thing lately is that he builds himself a little nest with all his pillows and blankets and then sleeps in the middle of it.

He’s still not much of an eater and really prefers to just snack but the kid would drink a gallon of milk if we let him.  He’s just started entering the why stage where he asks why about a million times after you answer one of his questions.  He talks all the time and just says the cutest things.  Lately he’s been saying I’m so sad now if he’s working on a puzzle for example and he can’t figure it out or it gets broken.  He LOVES bears, dinosaurs, Daniel Tiger, Elmo and reading books.  He would sit and listen to stories all day and we usually end up reading 5-6 books every night and before nap time.

We love this little kid to pieces and it’s just so crazy how much he’s grown up and changed just since Ainsley was born.  He doesn’t have a ton of interest in potty training right now so that’s next on our to-do list.  Hopefully we can get started on that in the next month or two.
