Christmas 2015

Christmas this year was a great one!

Making Christmas cookies the morning of Christmas Eve, no pants required :).

The aftermath.  We'll probably be finding sprinkles on the floor for weeks.

Getting ready for church on Christmas Eve.  Someone was not happy that he didn't get to hold the baby!

Christmas Eve at my parents house.  All the cousins with grandma and papa in their new Christmas jammies.

Opening presents from Santa.  The kids must have been good this year!!  Ainsley's first Christmas and she loved it.

Silly Ainsley and Christmas day at Ryan's parents house with all the other cousins.  Such a fun time!

We also had a great time with family at my grandparents house on Sunday but i didn't get any pictures.  Such a wonderful year full of many blessings.  Looking forward to all the exciting things coming in 2016.

Some cute videos of the kids

Ainsley talking and rolling:

Lincoln being silly in the tub.

Gavin decided to put on a little concert with Wyatt the other night.  They sang a bunch of songs but below is one from his music concert and then Lincoln got in on the action with a little Old MacDonald.

Gingerbread House Fail

We try to build a gingerbread house every year and the kids love it but this year it was a bit of a failure.  I thought i would be all smart and buy the pre-constructed house this year but somehow our sneaky little dog found her way into the office where she dug into my grocery sac, pulled out the box, ripped open the box and although she wasn't able to get the house out of the plastic wrapping she crushed it up pretty good.  She always amazes me because half the time she can't find a scrap of food right in front of her face and then she'll go digging out something like this lol.

So off to the store i go to buy another one although they didn't have this nice variety at Target so we set off to put one together ourselves.  It started off great and the boys are always so excited to decorate but then after a matter of minutes the house collapsed :(.  They didn't really care because honestly i think all they care about is getting to sneak bits of candy while decorating so they still had fun.

This was Lincoln's first time getting to assist and I don't think he quite got the concept because i'm pretty sure he ate all the candy i gave him to decorate with and once it was gone he started scoping the frosting off the house and licking it lol.

Later that afternoon my parents came over and took the boys to see The Good Dinosaur.  They loved the movie.  This was Lincoln's first time going to the theater so we weren't quite sure how he would do but they said he did great!  He sat and watched the entire movie and ate lots of popcorn.

Ainsley - 6 months

I cannot believe this little girl is 6 months old already!  She is growing like a weed and has changed so much from that first month photo.  She continues to be our happy, laid back little girl.  She is very interested in everything around her.  She is rolling all over the place and usually doesn’t stay on her back for long and immediately will roll onto her stomach and then pivot around reaching for anything in site to play with.  Although she prefers now to sit vs. lay on the ground I think because she can more easily see all that is going on around her and is able to sit for a few minutes on her own without falling.

No teeth yet but she is drooling like crazy so I’m wondering if one is going to pop through soon and she hasn’t said any two syllable words yet but is making all sorts of sounds and shrieks and loves blowing raspberries.  All that drool really helps in that department.  She loves playing with toys and puts everything in her mouth that she can get her hands on.  She’s tried a little bit of cereal and squash.  So far she hasn’t loved either but also hasn’t completely rejected the food but is still just getting used to the idea of eating.

Ainsley loves her brothers and gets the biggest smile on her face anything they are around.  They can make her laugh more than anyone else and she just can’t wait to get in on the action.  She’s also become much more interested in the dog and likes to try and grab her hair anytime she’s within reach.   The poor girl has been dealing with an awful cold this month so unfortunately we have no progress in the sleep department since we’ve basically just done anything to get her to sleep while battling the cold.  We think/are hoping she’s at the tail end now and can start working more on sleep training and getting her sleeping in her crib and without her swaddle and praying our family can go at least a month without any more sickness/colds!

We had her check up on Tuesday and she was 17 pounds and 26.8 inches.  Right on track and growing like crazy!

Christmas Tree

Some pictures of the boys decorating the christmas tree, the finished product and trying to get all of them to sit still and look at the camera (impossible!)
