As far as funny stories/sayings while I was in Puerto Rico Ryan came up with the brilliant idea of the happy button (Gavin’s belly button) so anytime he woke up grumpy or was in a bad mood Ryan would ask if we needed to push his happy button and after doing so he would immediately start to smile and turn his mood around. So that next week when we were driving home from school out of nowhere Gavin says “Quick find that button, I’m not happy!”
Some other funny sayings of Gavin’s lately are that he’s grabbed on to the fact that they call the teachers Ms. or Mr. at school and has started call us Mr. Daddy and Mr. Mommy at home lol. Still hasn’t grasped that I would be a Ms. I think they also must address all the kids and say things like ok everyone head to the door we’re going outside or everyone find your chair it’s time to eat because now Gavin uses everybody all the time too and will say ‘ok, let’s go downstairs everybody’ or ‘watch me do this everybody’ even if it’s just us two in the room.
His observations are much more detailed now in that instead of just saying there a truck he says there’s a red and blue truck or that’s a circle and he’s in the stage where he asks lots of questions. What’s that smell, what’s he doing, where we going, what’s that about? It’s funny because any male or female adult to him is also a mommy or daddy so anytime I take him on an errand or we’re out and about and he sees some boys he always says loudly what’s that daddy doing, what’s he doing now, why is he doing that and on and on. It usually just makes them laugh but then he always repeats what I say really loudly so everyone can hear like ‘oh he’s just going to the bathroom’ which is always nice. Definitely have to be careful what you say!!
