Tuesday:
I had to pick up something in Ames so we did a quick trip up there in the morning. The kids had fun exploring a few parts of campus.
Then more water blob fun and a water balloon fight in the afternoon
Wednesday:
Reading books-
Trip to Walker Johnson park. The kids had a blast and the pond was super clear so we found a ton of frogs and fish-
Popsicles and more water fun-
Thursday:
We drained the water from the blob and added it to the pool for a little more water fun. Best way to wear these kids out! We ran errands in the morning and that was exhausting!!
Friday:
celebrated national donut day and then did a quick trip to the park to wear off some of that sugar
For lunch the Library was having a hot dog cook out but total mom fail because after spending 20 minutes picking out books i realized i left my wallet and library cards in the car so we'll have to make another trip to get those books. Luckily none of the kids were too upset.
Friday night we celebrated my mom at the governors ball. So many people were there and it was such a fun night.
Saturday I was on my own. Wyatt had his last soccer game and then I took the kids to a wedding. The wedding was beautiful but a little rough being the only parent when they got a little crazy. Thankfully everything was outside so they could run around and play during the reception. Best part was that everyone was so worn out we came home, took quick baths and then everyone slept amazing that night myself included.
Some funny wedding talk on the way there: Gavin -" the thing i don't like about weddings is the kissing part!" Wyatt - "I don't really mind the kissing i just don't like all the sitting around" lol. These kids crack me up. And when the wedding came they were very interested to know when the kissing was going to happen lol
Sunday it was super hot so i took the kids to get a bigger pool and one that i could get in too since summer weather has officially arrived and it's been in the 80-90's ever since. So we played in the pool all morning and then headed to Terrace Hill after naps to have dinner with my parents. It's still kind of crazy to think that they live there now and the kids were just in awe of everything.
