Howell's Pumpkin patch

We went to Howell’s pumpkin patch on Sunday and the boys had so much fun.  They got to feed the goats, ride pony’s, go down slides, play in the corn pit, ride wiggle cars, climb hay bales and pick out pumpkins.   We didn’t have a ton of time since we had to get back in time for naps and an afternoon of soccer and football so we didn’t end up riding out to the field this year to pick out a pumpkin.  Instead we just found the perfect ones from the bins which the boys were fine with.  The weather was amazing and Ainsley did a great job riding along in the stroller and slept through half of it.  The only downfalls my butt got completely soaked and covered in mud when i took Lincoln down the cow slide.  Pretty sure i cleaned it out for everyone lol and the big boys got a special treat of popcorn and root beer which they loved but the bees also really loved it so it was a little hard to find a spot to eat our snack away from the little critters.

When we got home we discovered that our butterfly had hatched!  Ryan’s mom gave us the caterpillar once it had built its chrysalis and I was a little skeptical that it would work.  Wyatt discovered that the butterfly had hatched and it was so cool to watch it test its wings and then we took it outside and opened the lid and it stretched its legs and flapped its wings a couple of times and then just flew off.  A very cool experience and so crazy how the whole thing works.
