The boys had such a fun Halloween this year. We carved pumpkins last Sunday. Lincoln had fun playing with the mushy stuff
and throwing it on the ground. The older
two weren't very into it this year. They
had fun scooping the goop out in the beginning but then decided they would
rather go play in the yard so they picked out their designs and let me do the
carving. Gavin wanted the bat and Wyatt
wanted a scary pumpkin face. They were
excited to see the final product.
Trick or treating was on Thursday night for us and the boys
were very excited. My dad came over
along with Jen, Jason and their kids and we went trick or treating around the
neighborhood. It ended up being the
nicest night of the week so we really lucked out because Friday was
pretty cold. Everyone had a great time
and we really only went up and down two streets and then they were ready to head
back home so they could start digging into their candy. Lincoln was so funny this year. He loved his monkey costume and every time he
saw it he would just make monkey noises.
It’s so cute that we were able to have each of the boys wear it.
Wyatt and Lincoln had trick or treating at their school on
Friday and brought home way more candy than they got the night before. We’re going to have to get it out of the
house or I’m afraid I’ll eat most of it :). I volunteered to help with Gavin’s Halloween party
at school. That ended up being a lot of
fun and it was nice to get to meet some of the parents and get to know the kids
in his class.
The 3 monkeys:
Hard to believe it’s November. Next up is the election!
