Lincoln's first day of 3yo Preschool

Lincoln had his first day of 3 year old preschool last Wednesday.  We had open house the week before and he loved his new classroom and all of the cool toys.  His brothers loved it too which i think helped get him excited.  There were some tears at drop off but he was all smiles when i picked him up and he had a great day.  He goes two days a week for two hours in the morning so it's the perfect amount of time to get away for a little bit to do some learning and playing with new friends.  We started our second week this week so he's still getting a little used to the routine and still had a few tears at drop off but i'm hoping it will continue to get easier and easier.  On Wednesday he told me that he only cried a little bit and then calmed down.  This kid cracks me up :).

Back to school

First day of school was this morning.  Gavin started 2nd grade and Wyatt had his first day of kindergarten.  Wyatt was pretty nervous but he did great!  When I picked him up he said he had a great day and loved it.  His favorite part of the day was singing songs.

Gavin was a little nervous about today since none of his friends from the last two years were in his class but it sounds like he had a good day.  It was a little more difficult to get much out of that kid at the end of the day (teenager in the making).

Last day of summer

It’s hard to believe that Monday was the last day of summer break!  On one hand it seems like the summer just flew by but there were definitely some days that felt like they would never end J.  I feel like I’ve grown a ton considering that I was pretty new to the whole stay at home mom thing at the start of the summer and was pretty nervous about going anywhere with all four kids and now it’s just the norm.  We also started off the summer with Ainsley still on a 2 nap schedule which were of course opposite of Lincoln so we were trapped at home a lot and ended the summer with them both pretty much on the same nap schedule which has given us much more flexibility in being able to get out and about to explore.  Below are some pictures from throughout the summer break.  I’m going to miss summer but am also super excited for school to start and for us to get back into more of a structured routine since we didn’t really have one at all all summer.
