Christmas

We all had an amazing Christmas and even Santa found the boys in Iowa.  They were so cute opening all their presents and just wanted to play with each toy as it was opened.  Ryan and I even got to sneak away during the afternoon and go catch a movie which is pretty rare and very nice.  We decided to head back to Kansas City that night and it ended up being a great idea.  Both boys fell asleep in the car almost immediately and didn't even stir when we were carrying them into the house.  The next day they both took 3+ hour naps which was much needed!

Christmas Eve

We headed to the early Christmas Eve church service at 1pm at the church of hope.  The service was absolutely amazing and the boys did great.  It was during Wyatt's usual nap time so he actually slept through most of it but the parts that he was awake for he loved and clapped during all the music.  He was awake for the end and after we finished singing silent night by candle light he started clapping and said yay!  It was so cute.  Gavin also did amazing and sat still and quiet through the entire service and loved all the music.  Here's some pre-church pictures.  It's almost impossible with these boys to get them to look at the camera together :).

After church we headed to Osceola to spend Christmas Eve with my family.  Gavin and Avrie were wild like usual and had a blast running circles around the house with Wyatt and Rush trying to keep up :).

This picture cracks me up!  Gavin having a tantrum during the photo lol.

Pre-Christmas

We were heading up to Iowa on the 22nd to celebrate Christmas with Ryan's family so we decided to do our family Christmas with stockings on Friday night.  We went out to noodles for dinner which the boys love and then after baths they opened their gifts/stockings.  They had so much fun playing with their new gifts before heading up to Iowa the next morning.

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with Ryan's family although it is always a little tough with little ones our age.  They aren't quite old enough to roam around on their own so we didn't really get to chat with the adults much since we were so busy watching the boys and keeping them out of trouble.  Gavin also got an awful cold that made a few nights pretty rough but luckily after a couple of days he was at least sleeping better and not walking up every hour.  I can't believe i didn't get one picture but Gavin had a blast playing with his cousins, especially Will!

Christmas Program

Gavin had his Christmas program with his class a few weeks ago and did such a good job!  He led his class out and they sang two songs Deck the Halls and Christmas Vacation.  The batteries on our camcorder were dead but i was able to capture some of it on my camera below.  It was really fun to watch and Wyatt really enjoyed all the singing.

Funny story after the concert.  We told Gavin that if he was really good and listened to his teachers we would celebrate afterwards with a special cake pop from Starbucks.  We were about halfway there after the concert when Ryan realized that he left his phone at the school so we had to go all the way back.  By the time he got his phone is was already past the boys bedtime and Wyatt looked like he was going to fall asleep any minute.  Gavin shockingly had not asked about the cake pop once so we decided we would just head home and give them something small at home.  We were about home when out of nowhere Wyatt pops up from his car seat and starts saying cake pop, cake pop, cake pop.  Ryan and I just burst out laughing.  We couldn't believe that he was even paying attention and that he was the one that was upset about not getting one.  Luckily they both settled for a chocolate kiss when we got home.

Rice Krispie House

Instead of a gingerbread house this year I found a kit where you make and decorate houses out of rice krispies.  The boys had so much fun and the best part is they got to eat their creation or at least part of it this time around and we now have the mold so we can make them again  next year.

Christmas card outtakes

I just had to post these because it took a lot of tries to get one good picture for our christmas cards.  It makes me laugh each time i look through these!

And finally the WINNER.  They were not too happy by the end and it took bribes of a sucker to get this shot :).
