Hard to believe that Gavin is now 20 months old and will be 2 in a few months. He is one active little boy and keeps us busy. He loves being outside and taking the dog for walks. He is still a little chatterbox learning new words and phrases everyday and can now count to 10. He also loves music and will start dancing anytime it comes on which is so cute! We had a great time in Iowa over labor day weekend celebrating Avrie's 2nd birthday and had fun spending time with Ryan's family this weekend for the ISU - K-State game. Gavin loved getting to play with all his cousins. Enjoy some new pictures from the last few months.

20 Weeks
It's hard to believe that i am a little over 20 weeks and already past the halfway mark. This pregnancy has gone so fast! We had our big ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and Gavin is going to have a little Brother!! We are excited and know that he is going to love having a little brother so close in age. The baby looks great and he is measuring right on target for my due date. The last few weeks I have been feeling great and really the only difference is just my belly getting bigger and bigger and the baby has been really active moving all the time. The next big thing is coming up with a name so if anyone has any good suggestions please send them our way!!

17 weeks
I'm officially 17 weeks tomorrow. We had a dr's appt today and it was pretty quick but did get to hear the baby's heartbeat which was 153 bpm. Overall i'm feeling pretty good. I have my off days every once in awhile and have been more tired this time around but i'm sure that's because i'm chasing a toddler around :). My biggest struggle right now is just finding something to wear each morning. It's amazing how quickly i started to show this time around and right now i'm in the stage where i'm starting to bust out of my belly band but most of my maternity pants are still too big. I've felt the baby move a few times which is always a great and reassuring feeling. The fun news is that we have our big ultrasound scheduled in a few weeks so hopefully we will be able to find out what we are having!! I added a poll in the meantime for everyone to add their guesses to if baby #2 is a boy or girl. I also added a cute video of Gavin singing his ABC's if you click on the picasa link.

Exciting News
Hi all! In case you haven't already heard thought we would share the exciting news that Gavin is going to be a big brother!!! Baby #2 is due around February 2nd. I just started my 14th week and am excited to be getting my energy back. The first trimester was a little stressful with several scares along the way but thankfully the baby looks great and is measuring right on target so we're hoping for smooth sailing here on out. We went back and forth forever on whether or not we wanted to find out what this one is and finally landed on yes so it's kind of exciting to know that in a few months we will know if Gavin will be getting a little brother or sister. Below is a picture of Gavin in his big brother shirt.

18 Month Checkup
We had Gavin’s 18 month check up on Tuesday and he looks great. Still 90th percentile in head, weight and height and was just under 30 1bs and 34 inches tall. Within the last few weeks it is just amazing how much he is talking. Even his teachers at school have commented on it. He will try and repeat pretty much every word you tell him and really only needs to hear it once and then will remember what something is. He’s also starting to put together basic sentences like more crackers, bye daddy, hi mommy or where go. He LOVES being outside and some of his new favorite toys are his vacuum and mower. He loves being able to mimic mom and dad with them and his vacuum is pretty cute b/c it plays music so he sings doo daa along with while vacuuming. Some of his other favorites include buses, dump trucks, trains and dinosaurs. We see a lot of dump trucks and trains going to and from his school each day and he gets so excited, especially for the choo choo’s. Ever since playing at Grandma Jan’s with her dinosaurs he’s been really interested in them so last weekend we took him to Union Station b/c they actually had a dinosaur exhibit and he had sooo much fun. Not only did he love the dinosaurs but he loved seeing all the real trains drive past the station and they also happen to have a model train exhibit while we were there to so he was in heaven. Below are some pictures from last weekend. I’m also going to try to post of video of him singing his ABC’s soon. He really only knows a few of them but loves the song and will try to sing along with you and it’s so cute!

17 - 18 months
Sorry it's been so long since i've updated the blog. We have been busy, busy, busy! Out of the last 7 weekends we've been home twice and had company one of them so we've been on the go! We headed up to Minneapolis to celebrate Addison's birthday at the end of May. It was great to see everyone and Gavin had tons of fun playing with his cousins. We took Gavin to his first Royals game and he also started swimming lessons. We headed up to Iowa to support Grandma Reynolds and her exciting nomination for Lt. Governor and had a great time last weekend in Iowa spending time with friends and family for the 4th. Gavin has his 18 month check up next week so i will post his stats and more updates after his appt. Check out some new pictures from the last few months. It's crazy how much he has grown and he is just talking up a storm now.. such a big boy!

16 Months!
Wow, it’s hard to believe Gavin’s already 16 months old although with all that he’s doing and saying it always seems like he’s really closer to two instead of one. He is such a silly boy lately. He has quickly gone from walking to running and loves to run down the hallway and have you come find him and when you do he just giggles and giggles and giggles. He also loves to be tickled and always asks for more and more and more tickles and loves to play pee-a-boo. He and Roxy have been having lots of fun together. He loves to chase her and throw her toys and she loves to snatch crackers out of his hand and gets lots and lots of snacks now because Gavin is always so generous and wants to share all his food. This has been a busy month for us. My parents came down a few weeks ago and we finally did some landscaping and replaced our railing leading up to the front door. Last weekend for Mother’s day we took Gavin to the zoo and he had a blast seeing all the animals. Ryan and I have both been super busy at work so we are looking forward to a mini vacation next weekend. Gavin will be hanging with Grandma and we are going to California for a few days of relaxation and then up to Minnesota the following weekend to celebrate Addison’s first birthday. Hard to believe she is almost one. Enjoy some new pictures of Gavin below and I added a few on the landscaping if you click on the Picasa link.
