4 Months!

I can’t believe that Gavin turns 4 months old this week. Its crazy how fast these 4 months have gone and how much he has changed and grown. It seems like every day I come home from work he has gotten bigger and learned some new skill. We are having so much fun with him! He loves sucking on his hands and smiles/babbles all the time now. He’s very interested in everything around him and gets very excited when trying to reach for objects above and around him. For the most part he can hold his head up on his own and loves being able to sit up on your lab and watch everything around him. We have his 4 month check up in a few weeks and I can’t wait to see how much he has grown. I am guessing that he is going to weight between 18-19 pounds! Enjoy the pictures below showing how much he has changed over the last 4 months. I also included a cute video of Gavin playing and a slideshow of recent pictures.

3 months

Today is Gavin's 3 month b-day. Here are some new pictures from the past few weeks. We had a fun weekend in Iowa and got to see lots of family. Gavin had fun 'playing' with his cousins Avrie and Will. Gavin is finally starting to catch up to Avrie in size and they were pretty cute together.

10 weeks

Gavin is 10 weeks today and we had his 2 month check up this morning. He is doing great and I can't believe how much he has grown!! He now weights 15 lbs and is 24 5/8 inches long. No wonder we had to switch to size two diapers!! He also got his first round of immunizations this morning which was hard for me to watch but he did great and only cried for a few minutes afterwards. Much better than i expected. I've added some new pictures from the past few weeks below so you all can see how much he has grown. He smiles all the time now and is cooing and has just recently discovered his tongue and loves sucking on his hands.

I can't believe how fast the time has gone and am really sad that next week is my last week home with him. I'm really not looking forward to going back to work. These last few months have been amazing and other than a few hours here and there I really haven't been away from Gavin much so it's going to be really hard being away from him all day during the week! I'm sure it will get easier as we get into a routine but i know these first few weeks are going to be really hard!! Luckily we have Jan coming to babysit so that makes me feel much better knowing that he will be cared for so well while i'm gone.

Gavin's first photo shoot

Lindsay did an amazing job taking Gavin's pictures. They turned out great! It is going to be so hard selecting which ones to get. I've included a few below and you can click on the link to view all of them.

6 weeks

Gavin turned 6 weeks on Tuesday and shocked mommy and daddy by sleeping the entire night. We couldn't believe it when we looked at the clock that morning and realized how late it was. We were hoping the trend would continue but he hasn't gone an entire night since although it is getting much better with him usually only getting up once during the night to eat and get his diaper changed. Yesterday was an exciting day because i finally got to see Gavin roll over! Unfortunetly he was too quick and i wasn't able to grab the camera in time. We were also able to enjoy the nice weather here and did a little shopping at an outdoor outlet mall. I was able to pick up some really cute things for him from the baby gap. On a sad note i can't believe how fast time is going and that my maternity leave is already half way over. We have so much fun at home especially now that he is more awake and playful so i'm thankfull that i still have a few more weeks of playtime left with him. Enjoy the new pictures!
